Head of School
Iain Colledge
Iain has a Bachelor Degree in Education, a Postgraduate Certificate in Management and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Management from the UK. His career began as a primary teacher in England and he has since been in Senior Leadership positions in British international schools in Jordan, Bahrain and most recently was Head Teacher of the British School of Tripoli in Libya. He has always been involved in school growth and development and has been a school leader of both primary and secondary schools. Iain is also qualified as an inspector for Ofsted.
Secondary School Coordinator
Iain McGowan
Iain joined St. Andrews in August, 2010. He trained in the UK and holds a Degree in Business Management, a PGCE in Business Studies and Physical Education, and an MSc in Multimedia Applications. Prior to joining St Andrews, he worked in England and Australia. Iain has had previous experience as the Head of two Business and Physical Education departments.
Key Stage 2 Coordinator
Carole Parker
Carole Parker is English and has been teaching for over 18 years in all of the Primary age ranges. She is qualified with a B.A. Honours in English and Theatre Arts and has a PGCE in Teaching. This year she will be teaching Year 4 and co-ordinating the English curriculum throughout the school and leading Key Stage 2. She has taught at two previous schools in Thailand, most recently at St. Andrews, Green Valley.
Key Stage 1 and Early Years Coordinator
Linda Byrne
Linda has a Bachelor Degree in Education and a Diploma in teaching from Massey University in New Zealand. She started teaching as a primary school teacher in New Zealand for five years before travelling and working in Europe. In England, Linda taught a wide range of ages for 14 years. During this time, she also held positions of responsibility including literacy coordinator, art coordinator, and Head of Early Years and Key Stage One. This is Linda’s fourth year at St. Andrews.
