Secondary School
Students in Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 and 9) follow the Secondary National Curriculum for England. They study the same subjects as in the Primary school but they are taught by subject specialist teachers. These include the following subjects: Maths, English, Science, Information Technology, History, Geography, Design Technology, Art, Physical Education, Music, as well as Personal, Social and Health Education.
Thai, Mandarin and French continue to be taught in this Key Stage. Where appropriate, links are made between subjects in order to make learning more meaningful for the students but the skills of each subject are taught separately.
Key skills are emphasised throughout the Key Stage with English, Mathematics, Science and ICT as core areas of learning.
Assessment is continuous and systematic; this allows for personalised learning which ensures that students make good progress towards attaining their potential at IGCSE (International General Certificate of Education)then beyond into the IB Diploma and the university of their choice.
