School counselling

At St. Andrews International School, we care about the wellbeing of our students.

Counselling helps students improve in the areas of emotional, behavioral and social wellbeing. The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) has confirmed that school counselling has the following benefits:

- school-based counselling leads to improvement in wellbeing and mental health of children and adolescents
- it has a positive impact on students’ behavior and learning
- it is highly accessible for students
- it is cost effective

There is a strong evidence base that students with healthy emotional, behavioral, social and school wellbeing predict higher levels of academic achievement and engagement in school.

At St. Andrews, we have a school counsellor who provides individual and group counselling to students and equips students to solve problems, accept responsibility, respect others, manage emotions and deal with anxiety and stress.
