Term 2 was off to a bit of a rocky start, as students have been absent from school across Bangkok due to COVID-19. However, this ended on Monday (1st of February) as the S107 community returned back to campus to restart lessons in person for the remainder of Term 2.
Our whole school site underwent a deep clean prior to opening, to ensure we were ready to allow students to arrive in the safest environment possible.
On Monday our staff were waiting at the gates ready to ensure that our COVID-19 preventative measures were being adhered to. This includes:
- Temperature checking
- Mask wearing
- Social distancing
- Regular hand washing and sanitising
- Limiting gatherings when dropping children off
This was very successful, and all students and parents took the correct safety precautions and made their way to their respective classes. Deputy Head Anish Karadia commented:
“We are very proud of how our teachers and students quickly adapted to online learning, bringing high quality lessons to our learners and maintaining positive and proactive mindset given the circumstances. We are delighted to be back into school, face to face with our students, ensuring they can make the most of the remainder of Term 2”
So far this week, it has been back to normal operations for our teachers. Mr Richard, Head of Science is delighted to have his classes back, and they certainly look happy to be back also!
We also wanted to say thank you to all parents, carers and children for their cooperation and dedication over online learning. We understand it has been a challenging period, and we hope we can finish the rest of this academic year without any more interruptions.
