Our Learning Support provision ensures that every student has the tools, environment, and personalised attention needed to thrive within the mainstream curriculum. Guided by our collaborative ‘Assess, Plan, Do, Review’ framework, we tailor interventions to individual learning styles, personal goals, and adapted timetables.
Our Hubs & Academic Support
S107 features a highly skilled Learning Support Department that works hand in hand with classroom teachers to remove barriers to learning.
Located in both our Primary and Secondary phases, our purpose-built Hubs provide dynamic spaces for all students offering quiet areas for individual focus, cooperative workspaces for group projects and opportunities for private, tailored support.
Comprehensive & Levelled Support
We offer a continuum of levelled support tailored to each student within mainstream classes:
- In-Class Levelled Support: Differentiated classroom strategies and shared support to optimise engagement and accessibility within the mainstream curriculum.
- Targeted Small-Group & 1:1 Sessions: Focused instruction delivered by dedicated Learning Support Assistants.
- Dedicated Study Support: Sessions aimed at building lifelong learning habits, with a focus on pre-learning key concepts or over-learning challenging topics.
- Personalised & Adapted Timetables: Customised schedules designed around individual learning speeds, academic goals, and developmental needs.
- Specialised support with a speech and language therapist on site full time: Personalised and adapted support available from a qualified SALT in school.
- External agencies: We work closely with external agencies, including educational psychologists, occupational therapists and other services, to provide additional support where required.
